With a long tradition of over 125 years, Urania Berlin has established itself as one of the leading centers of dialog between science, the humanities and the public, and is today a renown society well beyond the borders of Germany. There are different actions like lectures, plays, concerts, seminars, discussions and performances. More than 250.000 people visit Urania Berlin every year. Furthermore Urania Berlin is a well-known art-house cinema. Urania Berlin is a registered association with 1.800 members and more than 80 partners and gets no financial institutional support. Urania Berlin is also to rent as a multifunctional event centre up to 1.500 visitors
